Additional Documents for International Applicants

• Proof of financial support. Evidence of funds sufficient to cover one year of tuition and estimated living expenses. The amount to plan for is published in the tuition and fee schedule.
• Passport copy. A copy of the biographic page of a valid passport.
• Visa support document. Issued by the Office of International Admissions after an offer of admission has been made and proof of financial support has been received. This document is required before a visa application can be submitted.

International deadlines are earlier than domestic deadlines for the same program, format, and term. Not every format is open to international applicants. See Application Deadlines and Term Start Dates for the exact dates and which formats international applicants may apply to.

The Office of International Admissions is the point of contact for visa questions and is separate from the general admissions office.

English Proficiency Requirements

Applicants whose language of instruction was not English must submit an English proficiency test score as part of their application to either program.

Exemptions

An applicant is exempt from this requirement if either applies:

• The applicant completed a bachelor's degree or higher at an institution where English was the language of instruction.
• The applicant is a citizen of a country on the English-speaking exemption list maintained by the Office of International Admissions.

Accepted Tests and Minimum Scores

A score below the minimum for the test taken does not satisfy the requirement, regardless of program.

Score Validity

Test scores must be no more than two years old as of the application deadline for the term of intent.

Where Scores Are Sent

Scores are sent electronically from the testing agency directly to Tondro University through the Tondro Admissions Portal. Self-reported scores are not accepted for this requirement.

Transcripts and Letters of Recommendation

Both programs require official transcripts and letters of recommendation. The number of letters required for each program is listed in that program's requirements.

Transcripts

An official transcript is one of the following:

• Sent directly from the issuing institution to Tondro University, in a sealed envelope or through the institution's electronic transcript service.
• Delivered by the applicant in the original sealed envelope from the issuing institution, unopened.

Transcripts not issued in English must be submitted with a certified English translation and a course-by-course evaluation from an approved international credential evaluation service. The Office of International Admissions maintains the current list of approved evaluation services.

Transcripts for Degrees in Progress

An applicant who has not yet completed a degree at the time of application may submit an in-progress transcript. If admitted, that applicant must submit a final, official transcript showing degree conferral before the first day of classes for the term of enrollment. Admission is contingent on the final transcript matching the academic record submitted with the application.

Letters of Recommendation

Letters of recommendation are submitted through the online recommender portal. The applicant enters each recommender's contact information, and the recommender receives an emailed link to submit the letter directly. A recommender may not be a family member of the applicant.
